Living the Scout Oath Nomination
Scouting is a way for boys to grow in character, gain life skills and experiences, and build strong friendships and memories. Pack 157 wants to recognize Scouts who do something exceptional to “Live the Scout Oath”.
These activities would be above and beyond the goals set for the year, and would need to be scout driven (not directed by an adult). The Parent Committee (PC) will review all applications for the LSO patch on a rolling basis throughout the year, and will consider the age of the child when evaluating the activity. Some examples of an exceptional activity would be standing up for something / some one under difficult conditions, providing service to a needy population without encouragement from an adult, or applying first responder skills in an emergency situation. If any parent has a question about the merits of an activity, a PC member can be consulted.
