6:00pm – Meet at Friess Lake School and sign in
6:05pm – Opening Flag
6:10pm – Welcome everyone back.
* Review what needs to be handed in.
* Show handbook.
* Review uniform, Scout Oath, Scout Law, Scout Handshake, Scout Sign, Scout Motto, and Scout Salute.
* Answer questions.
6:30 pm – Discuss Paws of Skills (p. 274)
1 : Talk with your den about what it means to be physically fit. Share ideas of what you can do to stay in shape.
2 : With your den, talk about why it is important to stretch before and after exercising. Demonstrate proper warm-ups and stretches. Reach for the Sky (side bends), Reach Out (sit and reach), Picking Cherries (bend over and touch in front of, between and behind your legs, reach up and clap your hands), The Lean Back.
4 : With your den, talk about what it means to be a member of a team. Make a list of team sports and talk about how the team works together to be successful.

7:00pm – Head outside or in the gym/commons.
7:05pm – Discuss Running with the Pack (p. 92)
1 : Play catch with someone in your den who is standing 5 feet away from you. Play until you can throw and catch successfully at this distance. Take a step back and see if you can improve your throwing and catching skills. (Bring 5 balls)
2 : Practice balancing as you walk forward, backward, and sideways. (Do on track lines or lines in the gym)
3 : Front roll, back roll, and frog stand.
4 : Play a game. (Get the Bacon, bring a baseball mitt)
5 : Do 2 of the following : frog leap, inchworm walk, kangaroo hop, or crab walk.
7:35pm – Head inside. Snack.
7:40pm – Discuss a Healthy Meal (p. 104)
6 : Demonstrate what it means to each a balanced diet by helping to plan a healthy menu for a meal for your den. Make a shopping list of food used to prepare the meal.
7:50pm – Discuss Homework (p. 275)
3 : Select at least two physical fitness skills and practice them daily for 2 weeks. See if you can improve during that time. (Hand out Sheets)
7:55pm – Closing Flags
8:00pm – Head home
