Richfield Cub Scout Pack 157 Newsletter – OCTOBER 2024

Hello Scout Families!

Fall has arrived and the new school year is is in full swing, as is scout activities!

As activities commence, Let’s remember the Scout Oath and the Scout Law and influence all generations to be the best they can be!

In this newsletter we will cover: VOLUNTEERING, Pack Hike, Popcorn, Lion’s Chicken roast, and Eagle Cave

GET INVOLVED!

Cub Scout Pack 157 needs you, our Scout parents, to help run the Pack! Find out how you can become more involved by attending one of our Parent Committee Meetings. We meet once a month at either the Richfield Village Hall, or before/after a Pack Event. Everyone’s time is valuable and we try to make the meetings accessible to everyone.

Treasurer, Popcorn Chair, and Event coordinator will be the next positions that will need to be filled in the next year as their scout will be crossing over. Now is the time to start thinking about it as they are great ways to get involved with only a few hours a month.

Pack Hike

Sunday October 6th from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at the Richfield Historical/Nature Park on Hwy 164.

We will be meeting at the pavilion at 1 for opening ceremonies and from there we will split off into dens for Flag folding, boat building, a den level activity, and a hike.

Please bring some materials for building a boat as mentioned in the previous email sent by Leann and remember to bring a reusable water bottle and dress for the weather as this time of year is unpredictable.

The final stretch!

It is hard to believe that the end of popcorn sales are nearly among us. Boy, time flies when you are having fun!

Only 2 weeks left before the drop-off date. Let’s finish strong and keep selling those products.

Remember, the top seller in each den will get the chance to “PIE” an adult leader or parent at our Caroling and Bowling event in early December.

Please be on the lookout for a Sign up Genius to come out with time to drop-off any unsold popcorn and pickup popcorn that is in stock as well as pay for any product that has already been delivered. All additional product including kringles, coffee, and wreaths will have an additional pickup day in Nov.

Popcorn Drop-off: Sat Oct 12th 9:00am – 3:00pm

Note: Both popcorn pickup and drop-off are at a NEW LOCATION!

6811 County Rd. WW, West Bend, WI 53090

It is no longer at the Scenic Rd. address
